Need an Official Record?
Choose the office based on who created the record. Calling the courthouse for a sheriff report, or asking the sheriff to certify a judgment, will not produce the right document.
- Felony case files: Moore County District Clerk, Room 109, 715 S. Dumas Ave., Dumas, TX 79029; 806-935-4218; fax 806-935-6325. Published hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Friday, 8:30 a.m. to noon.
- Class A and B misdemeanor files: Moore County Clerk, Room 107, 715 S. Dumas Ave., Dumas, TX 79029; 806-935-2009 or 806-935-6164; fax 806-935-9004. The clerk does not perform unauthorized, open-ended record research.
- County Court at Law dockets: call the official docket coordinator at 806-935-2440. Moore County does not publish a searchable local criminal docket.
- Sheriff arrest, booking, jail, incident, or sheriff-held warrant records: Moore County Sheriff's Office, 700 S. Bliss Ave., Dumas, TX 79029; office 806-935-4145. Dispatch is 806-935-2151 and is not a confirmed records desk.
- State criminal history: use the Texas DPS public name search or the DPS FAST fingerprint process for review of your own identity-linked Texas record.
- City police reports or citations: contact the Dumas, Cactus, or Sunray police department or municipal court that created the record.
Bring or provide the case, incident, or booking number when known, plus the name, approximate date, court or agency, and exact document requested. Ask the office about current copy, certification, delivery, and payment options because Moore County does not publish a complete criminal-record fee schedule.
