Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. The provider processes the request under its own rules. Moore County Criminal History does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email or other direct message may be retained long enough to respond and maintain the related correspondence. It is not voluntarily disclosed outside the organization unless doing so is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the web server can receive routine technical details about the visit:

- The referring website, when the browser supplies one

No Criminal-Record Data on File
Moore County Criminal History does not maintain, compile, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Moore County Sheriff's Office, the local courts, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Public Sex Offender Registry. The website is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into a consumer report or a record about another person.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies power the search boxes. Information submitted through one of those tools is governed by that partner's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each provider sets its own retention, disclosure, and pricing practices. Review those terms before entering a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to Moore County offices, Texas agencies, court portals, legal resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy policy governs the visit. Review it before sharing personal information.
Advertising providers may track activity across websites to select ads. That processing occurs within their systems and under their own policies.

Texas Government Code Chapter 552 governs public access to records held by Texas government bodies, while Government Code Section 411.135 governs the DPS public criminal-history subset. Those laws do not turn this private website into a Moore County records custodian. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
